BRIEF

With the improvement of the technology, most of us feel that our workplace extended to our personal lives. There is always one more e-mail to reply to, one more phone call to make and work hours never seem to end. The healthy boundaries between professional and personal life are constantly getting blurred. This situation is often referred as “work-life imbalance.”

RESEARCH

After a long period of researching about work-life imbalance and its causes, I gathered information, tips and possible solutions that may help with the situation. I wanted the concepts to be easily understood, that is why I decided to use basic shapes. For the visual style, I used a blurry boundary effect which refers to the problem definition.

FUNCTION

I decided to use social media to spread the information, solutions, and tips I found about the project. My target audience is young people and social media is a suitable platform to reach them. I designed 21 Instagram posts which include static, carousel and animated posts. I prepared a Youtube page and designed a website which has a digital store to support the campaign financially. I also prepared promotional items like t-shirt, tote bag and calendar which can be sold at the digital store.

CONCEPT

In a world where a continuous work presence is expected, EVEN’s aim is to raise awareness about this growing issue. Through posts and promotional videos posted on social media, EVEN tries to reach a young audience who are the future of work life. The campaign provides information, tips, and solutions to hopefully help solving this problem and prepare young generation for a better-balanced life.

 

INSTAGRAM PAGE

Instagram page of the campaign showcases 21 posts which are 27 images and 7 animations in total. These posts provide tips, information and possible solutions regarding work-life imbalance issue.


 

YOUTUBE PAGE

Youtube page aims to share interview videos with professionals who study work-life imbalance. People who are interested in detailed information about work-life imbalance can visit this Youtube page to access further information.

 

WEBSITE DESIGN

For this social media campaign, I coded a website which contains all necessary information about work-life imbalance and a digital shop. In this digital shop, people who want to support the campaign can buy promotional items like calendar, tote bag and t-shirt.


 

PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Promotional items are sold in the website to support the campaign. Calendar aims to remind people of work-life imbalance in their work space. It contains short phrases that emphasize the importance of work-life balance. Tote bag has a design featuring two blurring circles with the logo of the campaign. T-shirt has a design that is formed with basic shapes and the logo of the campaign.
