FOSTER

With this project, I aimed to create an affordable mobile application for perfectionists that cannot access therapy service, to evoke feelings of stress relief and awareness with comprehensive methods in the context of the audience's and therapists’ chat, voice call and tailored exercises for each perfectionist in the long run. Target audience is all 14+ aged people.
RESEARCH
Brainstorms, mind maps, scientific essays, moodboards and wireframes helped this project to blossom. Going step by step while creating wireframes was essential due to mobile applicaiton’s inclusive nature. Furthermore, the contributions of real therapists who have been interviewed made the application’s solutions functioning, therefore, reliable.

Foster App enables chat and voice call with real therapists, ensures therapists’s payment, includes scientifically approved perfectionism scale (Beliefs and Attitudes Scale), and cognitive behavioral therapy based exercises specified by therapists for each user. There are four types of perfectionism included in the app: Education, Social, Relationships and Parenthood. At the end of each exercise package, users receive feedback from the therapists who specialize the exercises. In the schedule section, they can check their future appointments. Users can have therapy service with as many therapists as they desire or afford. With each therapist, users initiate and complete with the perfectionism scale to monitor their own progress.
CONCEPT
Foster is an affordable and science backed therapy application focusing on building a non-perfectionist mindset. From the very beginning to its end, warm illustrations and icons that consist of dashed lines symbolizing a non-perfect journey, a minimal interface design and a calming color palette accompany the user. Its logo has been created from the Nunito typeface and dashed S letter in the middle.

I have created an informative poster to show in-app elements like icons, user persona, illustrations, app logo grid system, typography and color palette.

Here is the user journey from beginning to the end. All pages that are mainly grouped as “Splash Screen, Introduction, Home, Foster, Session, Exercises, Perfectionism Scale, Schedule, Profile and Search Therapists” can be monitored.

I created an Instagram page to briefly demonstrating the app's identity, sliding posts with scientific information about perfectionism and creditable comments from a users.
