Miniature painting for table top games has been a very popular hobby since 70's. Nowadays it is more popular than ever with even more sources and options. But it keeps being an expensive hobby even after all those years. Especially if you don't know what you are doing and wasting your expensive resources. Creating an educational book for beginners so they start the hobby prepared and don't have to waste thier resources trying to learn the hobby is my goal for this project.
RESEARCH
Since I know the hobby myself most of the research was about competitors at first. While designing the book itself inspiration was taken from mediaval books and dark fantasy books such as diablo 3 artbooks for aesthetic inspiration. For the layout study of educational drawing books was also necessary.

It is all about giving information and confidence to the beginners of the miniature painting hobby. Showing and explaining them all the information that a beginner needs without advanced info so they won't get confused. Giving them confidece starting the hobby and preventing them from wasting expensive resources.
CONCEPT
My goal with this project is to create an educational book for miniature painting beginners so they don't spend too much time and money learning where to start. Combining all the essential information while excluding confusing advanced techniques is the aim of this project. I wanted my customer to have confidence and understanding of the subject by reading my book and tried to improve the experience with video tutorials.
