The tarot manual can be a very tricky and mind-numbing process to read. Users who try to read the instructions are often confused while trying to reach the meaning of the cards. My goal here is to make the concept of Tarot manuals and tarot reading, user friendly, and easy to understand By designing a Tarot deck and its application with the help of Maker-Based AR technology. Users can scan the tarot card to reach the information on the card..
I've searched about AR technology and found the one that suits my idea which is Marker Based AR. Then I’ve made a mood board about Tarot illustration. I’ve looked at the classical tarot cards and get some key words before illustrating my tarot cards. Since my purpose is to make tarot reading easier, I’ve looked up the original guide book of tarot that I have and translate it to English and use the information on my application.
I’ve designed an application for a Tarot guide book. I’ve made vector illustrations for Tarot cards to make the cards readable by the camera and AR. I’ve made animations of cards to give information about what is happening in the illustrations because in the guide book it gives information of illustrations first then you see the meaning of the cards. I’ve put straight and upside down option after you make your camera read the card because meaning changes towards that.
